According to business research conducted by Lady Geek, Indian companies are among the worst of employers per capita in the world. The 2016 Global Empathy Index lists eight Indian company among the bottom twenty. Public sector giant Bharat Petroleum scored zero in the study, with several others such as ICICI, L&T, Indian Oil, Sun Pharmaceutical and Bharti Airtel getting points in single digits. Data was collected from sources such as Glassdoor scores, financial reports and social media for processing. Empathy here was the sum of ethics, work culture, leadership, brand perception and gender equality. American tech firms Facebook and Google featured right on top with the former scoring a perfect century.
