The pursuit of perfectionism does have an upside. It boosts up the creativity levels. This happens because those who seek perfection, do not always abide by the consensus. In fact, they may counter even though all available business intelligence points the other way. This ends up with a lot of challenge to the existing status quo. Such perfectionists, end up acquiring a lot of information themselves, as they desire to understand all there is to. They tend to possess a growth mindset. Settling- in, does not quite seem to be an option for them. Their stubbornness ensures that unless innovative solutions are derived, they will not budge. Perfectionists are ultra- competitive. This makes them scrappy, and always trying hard to keep pace with peers. A shorter timeline propels them to develop or work on business innovations.
