MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

In order to thrive as a leader in a firm, an essential requirement is to be trusted by the team members. For this to be achieved, some elements have been understood as necessary. To start off, the leader must develop positive relationships. This will help in the talent management imperatives at the firm. This includes conflict resolution and genuine feedback. One must develop sound judgement sense and domain expertise in the field. Only then will team members possess the confidence to approach the leader. Extremely crucial is that the leader must maintain consistency in approach. Employees do not trust leaders who are constantly dithering. One needs to follow up on the commitments made, and walk the talk. All leaders cannot possess all three of these skills in equal measure, but efforts have to be made to maximize each.
