A few steps have emerged which would help professionals identify the ways to rediscover one’s purpose at the work place. One of them is to bring the whole self to work. There are no areas of one’s personality that need be hidden from view. The person must also get on with making a list of things he/ she enjoys. One’s personality gets reflected in his/ her likes and dislikes. Some may enjoy practicing their hobby at work, while others may be most engaged for the corporate training programme held. One must never work in isolation, but understand where he/ she fits in as part of the bigger picture. The contribution will then be more holistic. Instead of trying to merely find one’s purpose at work, the pro might as well try funding the same. Thus, due respect needs to be paid to the fundamental aspects such as the paycheck.
