MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

Tourism in the country of Brazil came to an almost complete standstill in the months of April and May earlier this year, but it is now lately showing some signs of recovery. In June, e- commerce for the travel sector peaked at a twenty- eight percent rise in comparison to the previous month. Business consulting firm Conversion conducted this survey to understand the ongoing impact of digital marketing, especially for the tourism segment. There was an overall nearly forty percent rise in e- commerce business if one compares with the base month of February, which is before corona virus was declared as a global pandemic. Family outings are being preferred by a little over half the respondents for their tourism needs, while a slightly lower percentage lays emphasis on open- air destinations such as waterfalls or beaches, so that large crowds may be avoided.
