Something which until recently, was considered purely the preserve of science fiction books and cinema, may soon become reality. A project titled as the Von Braun Station is set to be concluded by the year 2025, when the first ever space hotel will orbit around the earth’s atmosphere. The concept of design thinking has become embedded as part of the scheme, with the team eager for the interiors to be aesthetic, so humans can connect to the place. Behind this project is the Gateway Foundation, that plans to ensure space travel gets accessible for many. These can then serve as ports of call for missions to moon, mars and elsewhere. ‘Field trips’ will also be planned from the space hotel.
