In a bid to reopen the struggling tourism industry, authorities in the central European country of Austria have decided to allow for free corona tests for tourism industry professionals. The federal government will bear the costs of the same. It is hoped that about three- fourths of the country’s businesses involved in the sector can be part of this initiative. Specific laboratories have been equipped to handle this rush of professionals for the testing phase. This move will also help protect the tourism jobs, as most of them depend on the peak tourism season, that tends to coincide with the European summer. An information sheet will be created to this end, by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
