Mexico is quickly becoming a beacon for medical tourism. Travelers from a number of countries visit Mexico for operations, that would cost double or even more back in theirs. Annually, the industry is worth twenty- three billion dollars. The states of Mexico with the highest potential in the same are Quintana Roo, Riviera Maya, Tamaulipas and Baja California Norte. The vast majority of these medical travelers come from the neighbouring USA. The share of US travelers to the overall pool is about eighty percent as per business intelligence supplied by the Medical Tourism Association. The majority of US travelers meanwhile are expected to come over from the states of Arizona, California and Texas.
