An increasing number of people want to travel with their pets tagging along. So, there is a massive demand for hotels and tourist lodges that allow pets especially cats and dogs. Business intelligence provided by Traber, revealed that about 7.4% of online room searches included a check on the pet policies at the hotel. For such travelers, Europe is a dream destination, especially some countries. Germany tops the chart with pet-friendly hotels and three of the other four in the top five are from Europe, namely- Italy, France and Austria. Canada is the exception. Among big cities too, it is Berlin that tops the charts. South America performs fairly poor with Chile and Peru’s establishments being in the single digits of pet acceptance. Usually coastal cities fare better in this than do inland or downtown ones.
