MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

After more than a decade of growth, the inflow of Chinese tourists to the USA has registered a decline this year. This is primarily due to the standoff between the countries regarding trade. As per business research conducted by the National Travel and Tourism Bureau, this inbound travel from China reduced by 5.7% to less than three million of them. This is the first inbound decline from China since 2003. The business world has also been affected by unsavory competition between Huawei on the one side and Google, Intel and Microsoft, all on the other. Experts however, add a note of optimism, by stating that this decline is likely to be short- lived. A growth rate of around 2 % is expected this year.
