MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

The numbers of inbound visitors to the US has increased this year by 0.7% as per figures released by the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO). The most noticeable source of increase has been South Korea followed by Brazil. Further on the trail are Argentina, Canada and Ireland. The travel industry overall has been responsible for 1.2 million tourism jobs in the country. This industry has even generated a trade surplus which is being pumped into other industries. The NTTO data has also revealed a two percent increase in over spending by international visitors. This data has been released after some delay due to some irregularities in the records maintained by the CBP (Customs and Border Protection).
