Business consulting leader Deloitte has concluded a study to look into current employment trends. Surprisingly, one of the top growing career options happens to be freelancing. Whereas earlier, freelancers did the less strategic tasks, now it is not uncommon to see critical functions for the firm being executed by them. The survey was conducted in over a hundred countries, and more than half the respondents confirmed that they would hire freelancers over the next few years. Freelancing as a career option allows younger people greater flexibility with their lives while also letting companies save on core expenditures. Technology has made this possible as work can now be completed from anywhere at any time beyond the typical boundaries.
