Context, Conditions and Culture
While there is a lot of commentary on respective company cultures, one must keep in to account, the specific context within which the firm operates in. There are five broad aspects that determine the same. These are quite external for any company to be able to exert much control over. One such consideration has to be region. Order and safety for instance are most valued in France or Brazil, while companies in Australia or the USA, factor in learning, enjoyment and purpose as of paramount importance. The industry also makes an impact. While financial services look for order, nonprofits mainly derive their commitment out of the broader purpose. The third key element is the corporate strategy being followed, which determine whether a company would more value results or caring. The fourth aspect is leadership. Organizational design and the inherent talent management practices make up the last and final cog within the wheel. Systems that stand for the long- run, lead to the curation of a certain culture.
