To attract customers during the holiday season, retailers are deploying innovative tactics. Broadly these business innovations come under the categories of Virtual Reality (VR), easier checkouts and increased deliveries. Macy’s is one retailer that applied the “VR for Furniture” where customers can use VR headsets to peer into what their households may look like when these be purchased. Several retailers such as Century 21, Target and Walmart are using methods to skip the line by using the Concierge Solution developed by players such as Mad Mobile. Thanks to the Amazon effect, retailers are increasingly looking to improve their delivery services. To this effect Target acquired Shipt, which is a delivery company that works on the premise of same- day deliveries. Nordstrom has enabled customers to buy online and then pick up at the store as it saves the browsing at the store time.
