Black Friday comes to the Tourism Sector
Black Friday has traditionally been one of the most important periods for shopping and business in North America, but its influence is now also hitting off Europe. This is especially true for the tourism and aviation industries. Melia, Sercotel and Vincci are three of Europe’s hotel chains that have offered substantial discounts to leverage the entire Cyber week. Among airlines, Iberia Express, Ryanair, Easy-jet and Air France- KLM have been among those to jump in to the queue. Even LATAM has joined in the fray with attractive offers to fly to-and-fro countries such as Ecuador, Peru and Chile. E-booking platforms are using the entire week’s festivities to take forward their digital marketing efforts. This includes the likes of Carrefour, Viajes El Corte Ingles and Destinia.
