Bicycle riding is seen as something that is both good for one’s health and for the overall environment of the city where it is ridden. Thus, cities all over the world are assessed on how bicycle- friendly they are. A tourism consulting report was printed for this titled Global Bicycle Cities Index 2019. Utrechtin The Netherlands tops this index. Following closely are Munster from Germany, Antwerp from Belgium and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The Dutch capital of Amsterdam completes the top five. The highest ranked non- European city is Auckland in New Zealand and China’s Hangzhou.
