Course Objective: The PGDM course is designed to expose the students to fundamental concepts of management, its processes and behavioural dynamics in organizations. The students are exposed to the recent trends and the theories supporting to these trends.

 

FINANCIAL AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

 

Course Objective:  The objective of this course is to enable the students of business management to understand the basic concepts in financial accounting, cost accounting and management accounting and utilize the same in planning, control and decision-making process of a business firm which lays the foundation for the remaining PGDM.

 

BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

 

Course Objective: Communication – both oral and written, plays an important role in decision-making of business management. This course aims at providing some basic tools and techniques in oral and written communication.

 

COMPUTER IN BUSINESS

 

Course Objective: The objective of this course include developing an appreciation of different software and hardware systems available in the industry among the participants and build-up the epperience of computer usage in business organizations with specific reference to commercial data processing systems.

 

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

 

Course Objective:  To provide the students a foundation in HRM. Students will learn about the global practices, policies and issues surrounding the HRM function. Students will also learn about the implications for HRM of changes in the business world. After completing this course the students should be able to: Understand the concepts, principles and processes of HRM, Understand the crucial role that HRM plays in helping organizations all over the world adapt to the endless change today.

 

BUSINESS ECONOMICS

 

Course Objective: The objective of the paper is to enable the students to have conceptual understand in economic analysis which has bearing on decision making by a business organization.

 

STATS FOR MANAGEMENT

 

Course Objective: The objective of this course is to make the students familiar with the basic statistical and optimization techniques relevant to business decision-making.

 

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

 

Course Objective: The focus of this PGDM course is to provide understanding of the relevance of entrepreneurship as a means of management practice in the context of a fast changing organizational structure in a global environment. It includes identification and development of opportunities for an entrepreneur in an uncertain and inflexible environment and ways and means to minimize the external threats. An overview of the Small Scale Industry in India is also part of the course. The content will be multidisciplinary with the view tg cover a whole range of issues pertaining to entrepreneurship and small scale industry.

 

PRINCIPALS OF MANAGEMENT

 

Course Objective: This course is an introduction to the concepts, terminology, principles and theories of management. It covers theoretical frameworks to contextualise past and present thoughts about management, as also to encourage students to address the emerging complexity of new management perspectives. Besides, it discusses management functions and the factors that influence them.
