MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

People tend to see the world in a continuum and the same principle applies to leadership. By that logic there are good leaders and there are those who are the best at work. Yet, the percentage of numbers suggests otherwise with very few leaders passing the test. Often the word “great” is lumped where the leader may simply be good at one aspect. A simple matrix will provide us with four leadership persona types. A vacant leader is one at the bottom lacking in force as well as direction. A maleficent leader is one who possesses force but lacks direction while the amiable leader is the exact opposite on the matrix. This latter type may have good intent ions but cannot execute the ideas. The vital leader is someone who excels at talent management. This type of leader is very rare as he / she provides great force as well as direction.
