MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

Leading publication the Financial Times has produced a report on MBA education over the last two decades. Some major developments have taken place over the last two decades in Europe. One of them has been the push to be recognized in similar league with American universities. Also master’s level degrees across Europe in the UK, France, Germany and Italy have become aligned to each other, making it easier for the student community. The London Business School is now rated as among the world’s best at par with many of its American peers. Another breakthrough was INSEAD in France attracting public investment. European and American institutes have also opened up campuses abroad or set up joint ventures especially in China. Chicago Booth’s campus in Barcelona and INSEAD’s in Singapore are prominent such examples. European campuses are now full of foreign students especially from Asia but also from North America.
