MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

The world’s largest underwater restaurant will soon make its debut in the Maldives. Known as 5.8 due to the restaurant’s roof being located 5.8 metres below sea level, this restaurant will be located off the Hurawalhi island in the archipelago. The island is home to nesting turtles and thus the creators have taken care to ensure that environmental standards are met. Three-fifths of the electricity on this resort is generated using solar energy and plastic bottles are prohibited. This business innovation of a concept will add further boost to the local economy.
