As expected, millennials far outnumber baby boomers in terms of social media usage. Not only that, digital natives have also become highly focused on videos. Disruption is particularly heavy on generational lines. A report provided by Magisto confirms that 88% of millennials use video for the purpose of digital marketing in stark contrast to only two-fifths of total baby boomers surveyed. In fact, millennials polled use more than half of their total budget on digital media as opposed to less than a seventh of the total for the corresponding figure among baby boomers. The younger generation also leads substantially when it came to social ads for either brand building or revenue purposes.
