A workshop on Best Practices in Internal Audit was organized on 17th Feb 2012 at TCS office, Gurgaon was by Tata Network Forum – North. The main objective of the workshop was to provide an opportunity to the participating internal auditors and other senior leaders to update themselves on the developments in the field of Internal Audit and share practices/ processes across Tata companies. A total of 32 Tata Group officials participated from different Tata Companies in North Region.

The meet started with a welcome address by Mr. Sunil Wadhwa, (MD – TPDDL & Chairman, Tata Network Forum – North). Setting the context and addressing the august gathering, he emphasized on the continuing need of Internal Audit as a differentiator in Tata Group.

The Keynote address was given by Mr. Ashish Aul (Partner, KPMG) and other speakers for the day were Mr. V Subramanian, Professor, Skyline Business School, Gurgaon & Sh. P.Sriramulu, Ex – Chief Internal Audit, Tata Steel. All the three speakers shared their experiences in the field of Internal Audit and shared the future prospects and challenges to be faced by the companies in the Internal Audit.

Below three companies shared the presentations on internal audit and showcased the how internal audits are conducted in their respective companies and what were the various CAPA’s adopted to improve the working and the growth of the organization.

(ii)         Ms. Sandeep Reikhi from TCS
(iii)       Ms. Yamini Gogia from Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd.

A brief summary of the day’s proceedings and the Vote of Thanks were presented by Mr. Siddharth Singh, Convener, TNF- North.
