E-waste is a matter of deep concern to society at large today & especially for India. More than ever before, we use greater volumes of electronic devices & quicker we dispose-off our previous models. In addition India also ‘imports’ e-waste from Europe & USA as recycling charges here are much lesser. Thus this discussion was particularly important as it addressed the concerns o the end users, producers, government, recyclers as well as waste collectors. There were experts representing different stakeholders. The forum came to conclusions on best ways to discard waste & how community level involvement will help solve this grave issue.
