27th February 2014, NSIC Entrepreneurship Workshop
Date : 27th February 2014
Venue: NSIC Campus, New Delhi
The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) is a body set up under the Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Industries (MSME) to help foster the development of entrepreneurship at grassroots level. Entrepreneurship, especially at small scale & cottage level, can be an ideal platform to elevate millions out of poverty. Students are also a part of NSIC’s scheme, as the body wants to ‘catch them young’ so they may hone their skills on entrepreneurship. For this purpose students of Skyline were invited for a day’s workshop on the subject.
The NSIC gave a presentation on the projects the body works on. A basic understanding was given on the courses NSIC runs & how students may avail that. Also certain schemes to benefit the weaker sections of society were illustrated. Students asked the speaker questions relevant for them. One of them asked about how NSIC helps in availing of loans.
After this presentation, a tour was provided of the premises. The simple machines were shown by which products can be churned out domestically or in simple factory premises. In this way the budding entrepreneurs can be exempt from investing heavy over land, plant & premises. The students thoroughly enjoyed the practical demonstration.
Skyline is the leading specialist from India, offering best training program & placement to students .
