Speaker: Mr. Dipak Ranjankar and Mr. Rajesh Chutani, Regional Managers of ‘Ciena’ – North India. 
Dipak Ranjankar and Mr. Rajesh Chutani conducted seminar on ” An insight on the Telecom sector”. In this session they discussed several telecom related topic and also gave knowledge about their company and related management terms like:-
The key points discussed were:
1. Use of 40G/ 1000G Transmission Technology.
2. Powerful market forces and impact on metro networks.
3. Sales contracting work chart.
4. SWOT Analysis and marketing terms like- Segmenting, targeting and positioning.
5. Sales distribution strategy and
6. “Ciena” in India, its business objective and special services.

They also told us about the brief history of the company and its position in the world.
The session was quite interactive. The speaker shared his viewpoints over the emerging issues in the Telecom sector. Students from Skyline College were also given an opportunity to share their views and clear their doubts. Overall it was a very good learning experience on part of the students. The speaker was kind enough to clarify all our doubts.
