The top ten countries in the list of highest inbound tourism revenue attractors, make up for about half of all the world’s expenditures. As per business intelligence submitted by the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), these countries also account for about forty percent of the international trips. The countries on this list are the USA, the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Thailand, Australia, Germany, China and Japan. The USA leads with a total revenue generated in excess of two- hundred and fifteen billion US dollars. Mexico and Turkey were exceptions in the fact that they were amongst the ten most visited countries in the world, but did not make the top ten in terms of revenues, replaced there by Australia and Japan.
