MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

The Israeli city of Haifa has plans to start a pilot scheme for sharing rides on electric and hybrid cars. They have entered into an agreement with car2go that will conduct the operations for this electric car rental service. A similar agreement was inked in another Israeli city of Tel Aviv but failed to take off. There the plan was purely towards electric cars as opposed to a combination being used in Haifa. This business innovation by the state will surely contribute towards environmental protection as well as financial savings for the people using. About one hundred and twenty electric charging points will be set up by the Israeli Electric Corporation (IEC). The cars once rented from a certain point may be returned at any of the charging stations.
