Every company today beyond a certain size is gripped by digitization. Adobe, software giant based in San Jose, California has keyed in certain aspects within its corporate strategy that is helping it address its digital challenges. Firstly, Adobe gained by leveraging the inherent knowledge within the organization among subject matter experts. For areas, where internal knowledge was insufficient, strategic acquisitions were made. Then, credibility was built up in the market by exposing its customers to product experts. This further generated shared value. Business intelligence was further generated by using data science making use of insights captured from customers. A lot of firms are under the impression that simply capturing and processing large chunks of data is enough to be considered digitized. Yet such chunks of data need to be put to strategic use to be genuinely meaningful.
