While organizations across the board are in the midst of digital transformation, leaders must stay clear of changing things far too quickly or too much. They must start with small steps at a time. In fact, frequent leadership change too is not desired as employees tend to lose confidence then. Three kinds of conversations need to be had with team members right at the outset before setting out on such digital transformation. One of the key tenets of talent management is to stress on the team cohesiveness. A story line can be created after conversations with the team members, tracking the journey each took within the firm. Then the topic has to veer towards future challenges. Data can be shown to demonstrate how work is changing and expected to further evolve with time. Finally, the third question has to be about the work realignment to fit the digital transformation. This can go on for a while over regular meetings.
