There is a lot of talk these days on the work- life balance. However, a lot of this discussion is pointless, as these aren’t two opposing poles, as is usually presented. Rather, one brings his/ her entire self to the workplace. Thus, instead of balance, talent management professionals must seek to provide a work- life integration. This is when both work seamlessly together. There will be a lot of challenges along the way. It isn’t merely easy simply ticking off some boxes. One needs to work out the intersection between the career goals and the person’s life goals. A lot of things people work on beyond the workplace, need not be hidden from view.
