The business landscape in China is being shaped by the demands of the rising tech firms. This means the leaders are inevitably younger, and more likely to be based in Beijing, than any of the other major urban agglomerations. The traditional growth path is being modified to suit the present needs. As a result, a number of them are changing their jobs. Across industries, people with qualifications in the STEM fields are dominating. It is local leaders who are thriving in specialized positions.
