MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

Outbound travel from Russia has rebounded after the offsets over the last two years. It had been declining since the high of 2014 with reductions of nineteen and nine percent respectively in 2015 and 2016. Another interesting piece of data as revealed by the Federal State Statistics Service is that outbound tourism to Turkey has been restored which suffered after the crisis in 2014. According to business intelligence provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), other popular destinations include Bulgaria, Greece, Spain and Cyprus. Among these Cyprus is the most expensive with Bulgaria being the cheapest. Regular flights to Egypt have also been restored. Less than a third of Russians happen to possess passports, which is why a significant increase in travel has been the domestic market.
