A lot of countries have laws exempting medical or insurance claims from being accepted when the maladies took place abroad during travel. In the UK this has been a matter of much debate. But now laws are underway which will help travelers get justice in case they fell ill abroad. Food poisoning is a common ailment during travel, so sufferers will no longer need to pay high prosecution charges. Business intelligence provided by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) confirmed that between the years 2013 and 2016, there was a five-hundred percent increase in such illnesses abroad claims. The payees of course will need to stringently verify all claims, as many could be mere distortions.
