MANAGING in the

NEW WORLD

During times of crisis, leaders’ talent management skills are put to the maximum test. There are certain behaviours that help leaders to manage more smoothly, at times of such crises. One such behaviour is to prioritize speed over utmost precision. Some amount of accuracy does get eroded in this process, but one can get the desired results quicker. The next is to adapt boldly. Several innovations could emerge at this time, while others could be merely spoken of. None of these will be successful unless one adapts at pace. One need also to deliver their projects reliably at such situations. And finally, engagement is critical. This engagement has to be targeted to create an impact. The entire leadership team must undergo strenuous management training sessions in order to hone this skill. Perfection will emerge once execution starts.
