The generations Baby Boomer and Millennial have a lot more in common than appears at first sight. And that is why the senior pros still have a lot to offer at new age disruptive, IT companies. Chip Conley joined Airbnb at the age of 52 after running his own company for twenty-four years. A lot of aspects at the workplace were completely alien to him but he persevered acting as the dual mentor cum intern to the cofounder Brian Chesky. The main contribution the former was able to forge were the emotional intelligence inputs to the latter. The millennial generation has a fondness for technology but desperately requires some form of corporate training at the workplace on handling people. This will also reduce emotional stress currently besetting so many.
